In the off-chance you have been living under a rock, the world is currently experiencing a global pandemic of a kind that we never seen before. While thankfully it is not as deadly as ones of the past, it is nevertheless a killer and the globe has come together in finding ways to limit, contain and defeat this virus.
The main phrase we’ve all heard these days is “social distancing” – the act of staying away from each other to limit the spread of the virus which is believed to be via cough droplets. Combined with regular hand washing and just general good hygiene, the expectation is this isolation between humans will limit the contact and thus spread of the disease.
This has resulted in new and unique changes for many of us. Working from home, no travel, no physical socialising. We are finding ourselves with new challenges that in this connected global travel same-day delivery world is a bit of a jolt to the system. Compared to previous eras and previous hardships, staying at home for a few weeks with internet access and Netflix isn’t exactly the worst thing that could happen. Thus a few short weeks of isolation and no travel is worth it to combat this new disease in our midst.
A man travels the world over in search of what he needs and returns home to find it.

At Aspiring Snob, while we love to talk about travel, about amazing destinations and fantastic experiences, however unfortunately all of these are currently off the table. As soon as things return to normal we hope we can all resume our normal travelling schedules (and help the struggling sector to remain afloat).
But what does that mean for us in the meantime? We have created a new category of Home focused articles and tips and will be adding to it over the coming weeks. Even for the most nomad of us, there is still somewhere in the world we consider home and the place we anchor our lives to. Given we’ll all be spending more than usual amounts of time in it lately, we want to help you make the most of it. Maybe, just maybe, you’ll even be able to feel that you are on a luxury holiday somewhere exotic, if even just for a moment.
We hope all of you remain safe, remain healthy and together we’ll get through this pandemic. We look forward to seeing you all with travel and experience updates on the other side!
